Thomas Swick from Odenton, Maryland, has sadly died. According to a sobering police press statement today, the life of Thomas Swick was taken in a terrible incident on the roadways of Crofton. Investigators from Anne Arundel County are currently looking into the vehicle accident that claimed the life of 25-year-old Thomas Wilson Swick of Odenton, Maryland.
A news release from Anne Arundel County states that the collision happened on Saturday at approximately 9:20 p.m. when a Hyundai Sonata aggressively collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee from behind. Officers were sent to the junction of northbound Crain Highway at Johns Hopkins Road in an attempt to understand the causes of the tragedy. Unable to maintain its course, the Sonata drifted off the road and came to rest away from it. The responding fire department officials declared the driver dead.
Swick, the driver of the Hyundai, died at the scene of the collision from his injuries, while the driver of the Jeep, a 25-year-old from Laurel, Maryland, was taken to the hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic Safety Section officers are investigating the cause of this fatal incident.
