Patrick Peko of New York, New York, who was a Security Architect at IBM and Marist College student has tragically died. According to reports he died from severe and life threatening burns he sustained in a fire accident. His family and community must deal with the tragic event that claimed Patrick Peko’s life with deep sorrow. Patrick was a cherished friend, relative, and coworker who made a huge impact on many people’s lives with his enthusiasm, generosity, and humor. For everyone who knew him, he will be sorely missed. Patrick Peko was an extremely driven undergraduate who was passionate about cybersecurity and information technology. He had strong teamwork, leadership, and organizing abilities. He had complete familiarity with the fundamentals of networking, hardware, and computer programming. And he hoped to apply and expand his valuable skill set in a new, demanding summer internship.
